Possibly.. But the ones I had (oem Pipes ) were very poor Power wise.
Noise control seemed their designed purpose
Major improvement when they were replaced :smt002
I stuck them back on ..once.. just to revisit them.
They came off within the hour.
Not to be forgetting that Stock LC350s ran 35 to 38 hp on reputable dyno tests in the early 80s.
Not even close to Yamas' claimed numbers.
Dunno If they fitted Modded pipes to their 'press' bikes, but there were reports of decent squish and altered ex ports ..
much like the 'Bulletin' suggests doing.

Next was to fit the spanies to the bike and spot weld the new pipes into place, remove and complete the weld, sand blast and paint them. Cost $53 (Cnd). Done.

Nice work! The squash bend tubings aren't 10's but on those pipes ? Plenty 'good 'nuff'

Thx Bare. Be interesting to hear what they sound like - suspect close to Microns, perhaps a bit of a crackle/deep burble mix is expected. Cosmetically I satisfied but time will tell if the pipes/paint hold out after heating.

Looks like a good option, recycling a set of old pipes.
