LC Hydraulic Clutch Conversion
LC Hydraulic Clutch Conversion
Got the latest issue of Practical Sportsbikes and it features a gorgeous 250LC build that has a hydraulic clutch. The article makes no mention of how this is accomplished and the pics show a single cable running in to the same place as the OEM clutch cable.
Any ideas how this conversion is done?

I'd be curious how to attach it to a hybrid - is the magazine purchase by electronic subscription?
Re: LC Hydraulic Clutch Conversion
Yes I suspect that is the case, as the guy mentioned working for Metmachex. Pretty cool bit of kit that.yam4l0 wrote:Maybe it has one of these fitted.Hooligan wrote:Got the latest issue of Practical Sportsbikes and it features a gorgeous 250LC build that has a hydraulic clutch. If by "hybrid" you mean an RZ motor in an LC? then you couldn't as the RZ clutch actuation is different from the LC. However there are loads of solutions for a cable clutch setup like the RZ has. Typically they look like this.LC Cnd wrote:I'd be curious how to attach it to a hybrid - is the magazine purchase by electronic subscription?

Re: LC Hydraulic Clutch Conversion
Note it was used on a 250LC and using a 350LC engine for the hybrid. I attempted to get a subscription of Practical Bikes but the annual cost (electonically) is $130 CND - not happening.

Really? Hm... ur right about the magazine. Hoping learn more about that clutch. Another reason to move to Australia n' bring my Cnd parts with me. Going bk to the webpage & see what's up with the pricing.

I bought a paper subscription. It's not cheap but it is the only mag subscription I get and it is a great mag so worth the extra cost.

Re: LC Hydraulic Clutch Conversion
A fresh spiral Clutch drive gizmo And a fresh OEM clutch cable And using Oem clutch springs... .
Makes for a reasonably decent light clutch action /feel.
Enough so that there's No overpowering urge to spend large on a Hyd setup.
