Agreed on the jetting. I moved down to a 210 main jet here to get my LC to rev to the end of the tach at wide open.

About four years ago now I took my normally perfect running 250e out for a run. The temperature was 30°C on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year! It coughed and spluttered and ran like a bag of crap! Next time out and 21°C all was well again. Back in the day I knew nothing about all this and just put it down to the bike having an 'off' day.

Where do you live or at what altitude anyways?

Change the mains, if I run your story over the picture I posted it seems like a pretty darn starting point.

Air pressure changes as temperature does. Altitude also impacts jetting. Its not a surprise that the factory mains were not appropriate for all combinations of altitude and air pressure.

Some time spent jetting carbs and you will see the major difference a small change in jetting can have.
