Control unit assembly

#1 Post by AZRD350LCGUY » Tue Jul 18, 2017 9:15 pm

I am rebuilding a Canadian RD350J RD350LC -4Y3 and have a question about the Control Unit Assembly part number 3Y1-85590-MO.
It's on the 4Y3 Canadian parts book but not on the European microfich.
I purchased a European wiring harness for one of my RD350LC (it's Canadian as well) and installed without connecting up the said control unit. It runs fine.
What's it doing on the Canadian models and what is it's function???
Any ideas??

Only thing that comes to mind could be the gizmo that operates/controls the automatic turn off of turn signals.
Tricky system to get to work reliably .. lotsa bits involved.
Yama stopped fitting them soon enough.
