First off i want to thank RZTOM too for opening up a space here for the LC owners to share! [smilie=thumb_yello.gif]
The 350 forum is a popular spot these days, lots of posts and new members. A worldwide membership. Its awesome. Lots of excitement with these almost 30 year old bikes!
Lately i bought a 81 RD350LC(elsie) in the "for sale section" from another member. As a result of that post, i have had alot of PM`s and emails from other members who also own these bikes so i know you elsie owners are out there reading this!
The LC`s have a cult following like the RZ, and i saw an opportunity to start a great archive here. Information on these bikes and their problems and fixes, modifications, differences, where to get parts....Just like the RZ350.
Yes the USA was leftout from these bikes unless they were imported but they didnt get the RZ500 either.
So anyway, if you have a RD350LC, i welcome you here to your own home!
If you dont have one, buy one! Or come take a look once in a while to see something new.
Please spread the word to other owners that there is a new place to come and share info here, maybe they will share their experience and knowledge with us.
Personally, I know i am on the beginning of the learning curve with these bikes and i will be asking questions and posting pictures of my project bike.
We want to know who the LC guys are, so post up a few pictures and tell us about your bike!

First time on the form. Just bought a Canadian LC as a father/son project. Collin is interested in mechanical engineering. Thought a 2 stroke engine rebuild would provide him the basic combustion engine knowledge to peak his interest. Plus they are simple to repair. We found this form is a wealth of knowledge to date especially regarding engine issues. Finding body parts is a challenge. Does anyone know who I could contact about a rear fender. Thx to all who have made previous postings. I'd post a photo, of the bike, but don't an attachment icon. Scott

Hello, thanks for admitting me to the forum. I had an LC back in the 80's in South Africa. Sold it when I moved to Canada. A few years ago I found a "could not resist" deal in the used classifieds. It's been waiting for attention in my storage locker since then, but the time is coming soon to get started. It's not matching numbers so I don't intend to try to "restore" it, but get it nice with modern brakes, forks, rear shock, 17" wheels/tires etc, but keep it looking like an LC

I have been a member here previously but long forgot my password etc

I have had an LC since about 1990 when a friend that owed me $50 gave me his 81 LC. It was rough to say the least. Bike sat for over 10 years then I restored it. Ended up with a crate full of spare parts during the process so I built another from parts.

After that came some challenging times and the bikes sat unused until this week. I recommissioned the parts bike and forgot how much fun these things are! Retirement has its benefits.

Will probably wait until next year to get the other one running.
