My 82 LC

#1 Post by Frank t » Thu Apr 26, 2012 10:05 pm

Below are a couple pics of my LC taken at Deal's Gap (two different years.)

I bought the bike about 10 years ago. The current mileage is about 11,000km. The bags are Hepco-Becker. The bike is original and totally stock. Plan to take it next week to the Gsp for the 2-stroke meet.

What seat is that, doesnt look standard in the pics?

Wow, that touring gear looks right at home on there.
You can tell that you really take care of your stuff.
See i knew there are some of these riding around in the US.

Frank has some sweet bikes as I've seen them in person and he's a super nice guy to boot! I'll be leaving soon to see him and others at Deal's Gap N.C.. If anyone is close by, please come by within the next week to the Deal's Gap Motorcycle Lodge as it will be 2 stroke heaven!! We will burn many gallons of 2T injector oil!! :smt003 :smt004

Any Chance on getting some more info about the bags you have on the back? Some pictures of how their mounted, what brand they are, and maybe the dimensions of them? would be very helpful as I'm planning to do some touring on mine.

The pics above are several years old and I now use a newer set of bags. Like the first set they are made by Hepco-Becker a German company which is one of the largest in the business. A current pic is below:

These bags are fairly large, 40 ltr.:

The mounts are also made by Hepco-Becker:

I bought these mounts about 9 years ago. They are made specifically for the LC. I checked with Becker a couple years ago and they told me the mounts are out of production. Perhaps they can be found on eBay (German).
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
