Does anyone have experience with, strong feelings about or anecdotal observations regarding these parts?

I have TKRJ rods from Yambits in on of my bikes, my crank builder said they were good kit. Japan made and affordable.

LC crank rebuild you gotta buy new center sections as the pins are cast in.

Yeah, I'll have to do some brainstorming about what it cost to have Garrett do my LC crank.

Rod kits x2 (can't remember)
Center section + shipping from the UK (Yambits)
Outer bearings (Ebay)
Labor

I think we were able to come in a few bucks cheaper than just ordering a new crank + shipping from Yambits or PJME

do we know what type of bearings they use? has anyone bought a complete crank from them? are there locating pins in the bearing or O-rings?

I got a LC center section from Yambits and yes the bearings had the locating pins.

I don't remember if they were Japan or China bearings.

I used Nachi's for the outer bearings at least.

can confirm the yambits cranks are made in taiwan with taiwan bearings.

apparently they "have sold over 200 LC/YPVS cranks with no reported issues"...

i believe hotrods and vitos cranks are also taiwan made

The thing is that most of the Taiwan cranks are fine and well worth using, thats what the 500 guys use etc. But im sure there will be some that are junk, all depends on who made it. Sams as if it was made anywhere else, there can be both good and bad in a country.
