Talk about timing, I have been wiring my LC for the RZ engine. I temporarily tie wrapped the servo to the frame in about the same location. I really like your solution. No welding, hole drilling. Perfect solution.... and in time to be useful.

Thanks,
Steve

I just built the bracket you designed, works great, thanks. This solved a problem I've been thinking on for months.

It's still a tight fit with all the wires and cables , I tried to mod it a little bit but came back to the original dimensions . Everything is just perfect now .

I'll be installing it today. Got it painted satin black so it disappears.

I noticed you have your cables routed inside the frame, mine want to go outside the frame. I might be able to bend the bracket enough and tilting the right side up may clear the frame so the servo case will miss the tube. Is that what you did? You are correct it is a close fit. I have not connected the servo cable yet but did start the engine for the first time last evening. Sure sounds good to hear a two stroke twin around here again. Been years. So far all my wiring has been correct, zeel goes thru selftest. Engine started after one kick with enrichner on then off and second kick after that it ran. I had the right cylinder not firing all the time. This morning in the daylight I saw the tube with the plug in it for on the Right carb vacuum port had come off during the carb install so it was running lean. I will fix that, finish wiring my R1 speedo/tach then run again today.

Hearing it run built a fire in me to "git er done"....

Maybe you installed the bracket on the other side , mine is facing right so the cables are inside the frame with the trottle cable passing just in front of the PV cables .

It would only fit one way, a frame bracket for the turn signal canceller was on the left frame. The bracket seems to be facing the same direction as your pictures. It is offset to the right side.

Ran engine today with vacuum port plugged and voila it ran perfectly, idled fine all on premix. Today I got all the oil lines purged and connected so running premix and injection for a bit. I have to check pump output after new seals and cleaning.

I hooked up the new throttle cable today and found it to be too long. My bike is a US model with the complicated linkage on the RZ carbs. I am using the LC throttle and suspect the bar switch is shorter in respect the RZ and the cable is just too long. I am going to take it to a bike shop and see if they can re-terminate the cable a little shorter. What did you do on your bike?

I'm using the LC trottle cable , it's the same as the Canadian RZ , no mod required . I moved the flasher cancelling unit out of the way and trimmed the plastic cover on the right side to get more space for fitting everything under it . Photobucked is giving me some trouble , I will try to post some pics this Monday .
