June issue No 20 practical Sports Bike

#1 Post by seahorse » Sat Jun 23, 2012 12:38 am

Hey Guys and Girls, just thought i would let you know that the June, Issue 20 of Practical Sports Bike, has an excellent artical called "Screaming Banschee Raising Hell". Its Story about a couple of silly old bastards like me, re living their youth through a couple of very nice builds / rides. Definately worth a look. Please don't ask me to scan copy photo post cause im useless at the computer stuff, as John.W will profess. Kind regards always, Seahorse.

LOL, youre not that bad mate, youve been on a steep learning curve i reckon. Doing well too :smt002

I just found an earlier issue i think in the local-ish (Castle Towers Mall) newsagent that had Norbo and some LCs in it...

Anyone know what happened to the Aussie classic bike mag that was part of Rapid, did it fail? I was hoping they might still be around when my bike was done... :smt017

UCBE Used & Classic Bike Enthusiast, the last issue had a write up and poster of an RG500.
That bike was one of Evil Dwarfs previous bikes(the Aussie Boy's will know who he is).
Great read and will look forward to seeing and reading an article by you Jon.

Aaron, I am in regular contact with him and have mentioned this forum a few times.
I'll mention it again to him.
I think he's a bit over forum's (after the PSB banning) and also has a lot on his plate.
This is by far the friendliest forum of them all, so we might be able to coax him out of his cave.

He's still very much into bikes, and always has a few things on the bench.

For those non-aussie's, this is one of his bikes that now lives with me.

First time Ive seen it in the flesh Benno, bloody sweet as bro. Are those pipes by Runner of Japan?. The fist time I seen you Avatar on PSB I thought you just had 1 side of the GP pipes on. Now I see two but they look different to JL,s or Kennys. Probably just me. PS get back to work.

Mate, there are a couple of nice YammaGamma's as they're known, in that issue, I really like the Barry Sheene paint scheme bike.

My Pipes are Jolly Moto's, from what I know of them they're on par with Jim Lomas Pipes, ED got them from France I think.
They sound great.
It's an effing knightmare keeping them nice up here with our humidity.

I'm seriously concidering getting both the RD & RZ pipes ceramic coated.
What have you found with your's Aaron, do they stay as nice as they look in the photo's.

My tail is an Airtech unit. Yes, it is a little on the thin side.
But, as you said they sure do make the look of these bikes.

I'll let him know you said G'day also.
