Was in at TJ's Cycle in Calgary today and discovered they have a mostly complete (only the left side cover is missing) 4Y3 350LC motor.
Externally the motor appears to be in reasonable shape. I did not remove the heads. I did try to turn the crank by spinning the flywheel but couldn't get it to move (I'm not sure if the crank can be turned externally like that anyway).
The downside is that they seem to think it is worth $500. I tried to explain that it'd cost at least $500 to rebuild the motor back to running condition and that $1000 for an LC motor is a bit dear.
Breakers, what can you say ..... every rusty bit of metal can be valued at two to three times its real value apparently.
