just received a new st of fork tubes for my 1984 rz: the new set is 26mm longer, also it does not have the relief machined at the bottom portion of the tube. Are these compatible? interchangeable? Need expert advice.

what year are they from? later models are longer to accommodate the clipons. They will work, but will alter the geometry a bit because you can't push them through the clamps as far d/t the bar.

i was told these tubes are for the UK rd 350lc 1985.I am concerned about the fact that the US version has a recess machined on the bottom area of the tubes, the UK version does not have a recess .Will this affect the damping properties.?
