Rearset interest

#1 Post by peterz84 » Mon Aug 12, 2013 12:10 pm

Any of you guys have any in rearsets? I'm going to get a few sets made for me and can run more if needed.

These will fit all the 350's. Let me get the details worked out and I'll let you guys know when I do. For my set I'm going to use a tube reservoir, but I can supply the line for the stock res. GP or conventional shift pattern as well.

I'll keep you guys up to speed.

Thanks
Pete

Nice looking and minimalist. always interested,as with others after you talk to the machinist ...price. Rearsets are on the agenda for the final part of my build, but you never know :smt002 I think your already safe for your "few" sets :smt023

I like them small and light, without passenger applications obviously. Looking good so far

Thanks guys, old Rz, "keep it simple stupid" that's how I roll...

Looking to get to my machine guy within the next week for price to run a small batch. My cost is your cost, I'm not looking to make money here.

Rearsets use bearings on both sides in the levers, about half the weight of stockers, Brembo master, grooved pegs, not cross hatched, and use the stock exhaust attachment point.

They will be in mill finish, you can finish them to your preference.

I'll get these on a bike this weekend with pics and measurements with respect to back set and height.

Any suggestions or comments post 'em up.

Thanks
Pete

Looking good Peter, what did you decide on the other side?

A thought... Have you checked out a set of Tarozzis btw? I dont know how they work but Aaron did a mod to his that allowed you to move the brake back and up so you could kick it without hitting the brake lever. worth a look perhaps if youve not seen it.

Thanks Jon, Yes sir, I have a couple sets of Terozzi's, I cant stand them...Just my opinion , heavy, too many little parts, they get really sloppy or bind up. Never had a real good experience with them. Like you said, kick start comes way to close to the brake lever and side stand is too close to the shifter.

Thanks
Pete
