I told my wife it was a bonding session lol

I get 65mm with preload in the middle where you were getting 107, about 60% more, that's what was bizzare. Max preload gets me to 40mm with me on it. I prefer to think it is not the shock, but the fact that I really could lose 25 lbs. Even set in the middle it was a vast improvement over the clapped out stock shock.mike YPVS wrote:so yours is too soft!
you should be looking at 35mm total drop with you sat on it.

I weigh more than you lol, about 290lb in your langauge. It was when the setting was at mid that I got the 107mm drop, with my wife on the back I killed it lol.

I finally checked mine, Fox twin clicker/Eibach spring(unknown to me rate). I got 10mm of static sag and 54mm with my fat posterior in place. I have always thought my spring was too stiff but it is too soft? I don't have bottoming issues and am pleased with the handling. I need to check the numbers on the spring to find out what it is before go for a replacement.
Red/White US '84, Spec II pipes, Y-boot w/K&N, Fox Shock, Mikuni carbs?

so, it seems we are making headway! the problem is me lol
As I see it now, the R6 rear shock is slightly undersprung when fitted to a YPVS. You can get away with it if you are light to possibly medium weight. For heavyweight's it wont work.
In my defense it isn't just food and drink lol, many years of working out in a gym can't have helped

I still would like everyone who has an R6 shock to check their loaded sag.
