Splitting the rear brake caliper 85 RZ350N

#1 Post by jim350 » Wed Jun 11, 2014 11:40 am

I want to replace the two joint seals on a 1985 RZ350N rear brake caliper. I already have all the OEM parts and seals. I found power house automotive in UK seems to have some that look like a good match. Anyone have a source closer?

Thanks

Hey Jim,

In Illinois too. Split mine 2 years ago and replaced them with these from mc master Carr. Double-Seal Viton[REGISTERED SIGN] Fluoroelastomer O-Ring, AS568A Dash Number 110

No problems at all. Order today and have them Thursday.

Hope it helps

Is this a great forum or what? I'm sure he had to order a minimum order. I got some for my Toomey Replica spigots that the header pipe slips into. Had to order 25 minimum. If anyone needs a couple of those, let me know...

Crnadvm – thanks for the quick reply and generous offer. I repair hydraulic components for a living and just happen to have a few of these in the shop. Steve this is a fantastic forum. There is a huge amount of information you can search from and if you can’t find it post a question. This is a perfect place for guys like me who can do the work but don’t have the “insider” information an experienced mechanic or fanatic has.

Do you mean the part that bolts to the cylinder? I have some but they are not in the best of shape.... PM me some details if you don't mind!

I just installed a set in a project I'm working on.
Hope this helps, they are not the squared off rings but they work.
AS568A-110 o-rings from mc mastercarr.
Or if you know someone in aviation.
AS3209-110 or ms 28775-110
