Er, youve still got the OEM ball race on the bottom... that needs to come off, and usually you need to tap the tapered units down as they are a friction fit. Test the OD and ID to be sure, but they really should fit if they are the RZ set.

So I've got this right Jon, the bottom roller bearing seats right to the bottom of the stem after removing the ball race. Check. That would also mean have to lathe down the bottom of the stem (n' create a jig for turning it) the diameter of the stem will seat the All balls bearing correct or is there a better way.

The inner race of the tapered bearing should fit the stock stem without machining if you get the right bearing. All Balls lists the dimensions on their website (or used to). Find a tube/pipe/conduit etc. that just fits over the stem to use to press it all the way down. Make sure you are only pressing on the inner race and not the rollers, and don't forget the bottom seal before the bearing goes on. FYI You can actually press the stem out of the lower triple from the top, they are usually retained with a ring at the bottom end of the stem.

Defo no machining involved at all with fitting the RZ kit to the LC. When you measure the OD of the stem and the ID of the bearing, I assume from what youve said that they dont match and you have the wrong bearing? the ID and OD of those parts should be the same...

Yep they press out, some have a roll pin, which can be a pita to remove, but really you should not need to do that, it should fit right on from the kit... if you have the right kit.

Which is 22-1007 ISTR, which is what you have shown in your pics... defo check the bearing ID and the stem's OD and report back...

Have a look at this page, shows the sizes if you look for the kit number:
