Did you fit the rs125 master and try it?

I had a look at mine and on the bottom it says 12.7.
I did the research and it looks like the YPM guys run a similar set up with the single blue spot r1/r6 caliper and the Aprilia rs125 radial master.

I was out last night and just sitting at a light I pulled on the brake lever... I could see how you would think it would feel wooden.
But in actual braking application, I find it has a lot of feel. Very close to the stock TZR setup.

If you have it, why not try it? My 2 cents.
Here my set up

I agree, Ive had a bunch of bikes with what feels like a horrible lever in the garage, but in use they felt great. you do need to be rolling to assess brakes, not just static.

sorry 12.7mm feels horrid. Not surprising at it is the same as 1/2" which was o th4e bike before....I have an 11mm Nissin unit but no lever. Unit is bled and I am waitiing for a lever. It feels much softer...hopefully i wont need to look for a 12mm unit

What's the Nissin from? Pick up a nice CRG lever for it. Their geometry contributes to feel as well.

I think the nissin is off a suzuki RM250. I've got a shorty lever now and it feels much better, but so much more feel (=spongy) than the 12.7mm felt. Time to try it. That first outbraking could be interesting

I run an FZ8 master cylinder and clutch perch, They look stock, no ugly remote reservoir. I like remote reservoirs, but they don't really suit the RZ. Both have adjustable levers and they have 10mm threaded mirror mount holes,

surely you have a twin disc set up tacky1 if you're using a TZ8 master cylinder?

Ooops, Sorry, Yes, I re-read your first post, you are running a single caliper. Yep, I'm running a set of R1 calipers...

I've taken it for a quick spin - the brakes feel very nice and "feely". Phew, I'm not so worried about that first hard braking corner now.

"Feely." Is that straight from the Brembo handbook? :smt005
