Haha t.rex riding a modern yz 250 two stroke would suit you nicely. All these young kids with their 250f's getting spanked by an old man on a stroker kinda bends them outta shape.
I'm not saying I beat them all but I beat most. #palaraceway :smt040

Always, as you get older you just accept it and take whatever victories you can achieve however small they may be. It sure does feel good beating someone 20 years your junior.

im saving my pennies for the new Yz250x
i have a new Wr450f now . just hope the 250x stacks up to the 450 off road
then i can keep the WR as a supermoto

and then put the supermoto wheels on the 250x and do some track days , now that would be some fun

Been racing MX for 50 years or so. Past few years the cash has been in short supply so I've been unable to mount a real effort. However I going to mount a serious effort for next season. Most likely on the CRF450R. But a few practice days on the old YZ does wonders for corner speed believe it or not. Lack of braking gives you 2 choices-crash or stuff it in and turn up the loud switch.

In fact that bike is where the T.Rex thing comes from. About 15 years ago my ex was sitting in the bleachers during morning practice at Antietam and over heard someone say he hated getting passed by that fat guy on the dinosaur. And T.Rex was born.

This is actually on the front fender of the YZ 465. It's what I call the bike. Don't normally name bikes but it just fits.

Awesome story T. Good to see you know the value of riding on the dirt well past our prime.
Gotta stay sane every way possible today. :smt031

I've had my head scanned several times and they always tell me everything looks ok. :)

I had a bad accident in '86 that put me in ICU. After I woke up they sent me to see a shrink for some reason. The shrink told my mother that I belonged in the psych ward. Mom asked the Dr. why she thought that. Dr. described my attitude and Mom laughed and said he's always been that way and walked away.

My mother has spent the last 30 years hoping I will stop riding. I have zero intention of doing that. Who is the saner person?

Sane is a concept that differs in every species that roams this planet.
I once knew a woman that was diagnosed as bi polar, (an excuse to act like a selfish asshole)
The mood stabilizers and all that did nothing to help the destructive nature of that person.
I'd rather ride and chance it than be that kind of crazy.
I guess a lion is crazy to try to bring down a water buffalo or a honey bee is crazy to work herself to death. The simple answer is I don't care what anyone thinks of me. Not one of them will do anything to better my life if they stand in judgement of me.
So, I ride ! :smt033

One way to keep a thread going. My wife asked me once why I keep riding motorcycles. She's been around 35yrs and has seen quite a few of my bang up's. I said to her 'what else is there to do'.
