The tires being used in the upcoming LC Cup are apparently Continental Classic racing tires.

Looking at the Continental website they show a ContiClassicAttack which is billed as a radial tire for classic bikes. It comes in RZ suitable sizes. One wonders how a radial tire would feel on a bike designed for bias ply's? Would be nice to be able to use radials.

The front tire feels fantastic. The rear's a bit vague but it could be me. When I lost the rear it was poor throttle execution mixed in with a bit of cockiness., trying to get rid of the chicken strip on the rear. This area of the tire is near verticle. I need to get off the bike more and get it back on the fat part of the tire. The profile of these are completely different than the Avon's I used last year.

Interesting. Both my LC and RZ wlll need rubber next season. Might have to have a good hard look at these.

Thanks for the info.

For what it's worth I found it productive to get my upper body over so that my upper shoulder is about mid gas tank. Takes some practice to feel comfortable with it but the reward is a very stable cornering platform. The hardest part is not using the handlebars for support but locking onto the bike with the outside leg and foot. It's easier on the Tuono than the RZ.

Try and lead in the corner with your chin and inside shoulder. Bend elbows and focus on not putting extra pressure on the bars. Look where you want to go. :)

I just try and kiss the mirrors. Haven't the cash for trackdays right now and I'm done racing pavement.

Yeah I get in trouble all the time for that distinction being forgotten. Just don't like being passed.
