I did have first a VJ22 swingarm and later a VJ23 swingarm with the brackets that attached to the center stand bracket on my RZ350. RGVSteve build me the brackets following the drawing from a gentleman in Holland I believe. The work was fine, but I wanted fatter cones. There is something about pipes with fatter cones. I realized that with my NS400R two of them. When I had Jolly Motto's on them. Then Brian build me pipes for my NS400R and I noticed a big difference. That's when he suggested in removing the center stand brackets off my RZ350. This way I can go with a TZR250 3XV swingarm to accommodate his pipes GP style with fat cones on them.

Like everything we have compromise in out bikes when we mod them. Using the center stand brackets means that very fat pipes will always be an issue as real estate is tight down there. Im intrigued to see what you come up with to get around this.

The drawings you had are the same as the ones I linked Im sure. Theyve done the rounds on the forums for a while now, they seem to be the same as NK (and probably form what youve said RGV Steve as well) use. From what I can tell they replicate the RGV geometry so that when using RGV shock and knuckle with the swingarm you do get a half decent suspension out of the work. If you were to go a different way (and a few have) you have a lot of calculations ahead of you to get to the same point I reckon, OffRoad did some of them and it wasnt pretty.

Brian got on my case joking. I'm using a 1991 VJ22 SP front end. The swingarm is a TZR250 3XV SP with TZR250 calipers, but the rear wheel is a VJ22 with a VJ22 rotor. The geometry is very close to stock. Brian made me an oil tank is partially towards the rear under the gas tank. The battery is in the stock location. The rear shock is a Penske re valve for my application. I believe its the 8900 series.

All of my other two strokes do not have a center stand and I can service them without any problems.
