Are this still available? I have wanted somebody to make this adapters for a long time. I don't think TDR ever did this combination?

As far as I know, I got a set off him recently and he has them advertised on our local
gumtree.
I don't know if anybody else made for this combination.

Can someone provide the models and years for the calipers and rotors that these adapters will allow on an '85 RZ?

Also, do folks switch out their front master cylinder?

Something like:

Calipers
R1 XX-YY
R6 XX-YY
FZ?

Rotors
R1 XX-YY

Master Cylinder
R1?

Sorry but I do not have all the info that you have asked for. However, these caliper brackets are designed to fit the early RZ350 fork sliders up until around 1985-86. The hole centres on the fork sliders are 42mm apart. Around 1986 I believe that the fork sliders, calipers and caliper adaptors were changed and the hole centres are much further apart, the lower hole being much closer to the axle than the early type. The adaptors that I make are for the early type sliders with 42mm hole centres. As far as I am aware, people who have done the Blue Spot/R1, R6 disc modification have continued to use the stock master cylinder.

I have a set of Norm's calliper adapters, Blue Spots with early R1 discs on my rd350lc,
this bike has later model rz350ypvs wheels fitted.
I'm using a Mikes XS 1/2" master cylinder on that and it's got a good feel and works well.

I also have upgraded my 1989 model FJ1200 to Blue Spots and the std master cylinder on that is
5/8" and that feels wooden and very little lever travel.

I have seen else where that an r6 master cylinder is 14mm bore(but don't quote me on that!).

I did the R1 calipers on my 84RZ . I ran the stock master cylinder with stainless lines and thought the brakes felt a little wooden. I switched to a FZ1 master cylinder ( mainly because it looked stock and I could still mount the mirror on it ) and it made it feel a lot stronger. It was what I was looking for. I used a 2003 model m/c.

For anyone interested, I currently have 3 pairs of Calliper Adaptors remaining in stock.
Please note that I will no longer be manufacturing these items after this date.
If you are interested in purchasing a pair of adaptors, the cost would be USD$245.00 for 1 pair (1 left hand & 1 right hand) which includes postage to USA.

Yea, a modern master cylinder is required. Any of the ones off the Yamaha standard style bikes, FZ1, FZ08 etc will work and they retain the right side mirror mount for the stock look.

You need a 14mm mc, many stock older type are 5/8 which is too big and makes for a wooden feel.

I have those with the blue Yamaha calipers. You need a modern front brake master cylinder. I'm using one off a gsxr 750 (non radial) and SS brake lines. You will have more front braking power than you ever dreamed of.....
