Does anyone know how much oil to add to the front forks on this bike?

Take springs out and collapse suspension. Put in enough to cover damper rod would be a good starting point.

According to the Motul oil adviser, each fork leg needs 0.22 liters of 10W oil.

I'm a bit sceptical to that advisor. It shows totally wrong amount for the gear oil.

I am amazed anyone here knows this for a DT50R... I tried to buy one (an MX model) once back in 1991, it was an early 80s 'thing' and was in a scrapyard in the uk... that was the last (and worst) DT50 Ive seen... :/

Joking aside tho, you may well be better to locate a forum for mopeds, I thought there was a few northern Eu (Sweden based?) forums for small bikes, failing that the Dutch had a lot of Brommers back in the day... I had MT5 and MB50 and TS50 back in the mid 80s when i was a lad and a friend had a new (83) DT, it was wonderful compared to our old bikes... Anyway... just trying to help, not scare you off.

I've had two of these before so I remember most of the tech stuff. Including everything that fails on these. :P Just forgot about the fork oil since I've only done an overhaul once on this model.
