It sounds like I have some work to do. I have to finish a bathroom reno first. Priorities my wife says. Lol

My bike bench makes a great drywall table.
No room to get my bike back on the bench at the moment and check some parallelism, offset alignment, etc.

I did purchase a 43T rear sprocket. I'm going to try that first. I want to try one thing at a time to see what actually fixes it - if possible.

I do have my new R6 fan to hook up as well.

I feel your pain Jeff. I'm doing my garage right now with Roxul. I bought half a lift today from my boss.

Roxul is the best. Not nearly as itchy as fiberglass and so easy to cut with a serrated knife

Jon, it's a relatively small sized ensuite bathroom. The project started as shower removal and has turned into complete gut. We have a set of stackable washer/dryer going in. A lot of sound deadening techniques used here i.e. Roxul insulation, resilient channel, hush pad, multiple layers of drywall, acoustic caulking, etc. Hi-tech stuff here. I must say, the combination does seem to work well. I don't have the appliances installed yet to verify.

Regardless, the bathroom will be brought out of 1982 kicking and screaming. [emoji12]

Hahah, I think the same people had our house, the latest one Im doing is also an ensuite; nasty Greek inspired blue tiles with godesses pouring from urns and a total nasty DIY job with a huge 90s glass sink setup... all gone now and much more modern. We dont have appliances in bathrooms here and no real need for insulation, different climates I guess LOL Anyway, good work mate!

Out with the fugly, in with the new.
We don't usually have appliances in the ensuite, but my lovely wife doesn't want to be going to the basement to do the laundry. Carry down dirty stuff and carry up the clean. I don't understand what the problem is, I'm the one doing the carrying.

The extra insulation is mostly for sound proofing. I'm surprised that you guys don't have more of a need for insulation. Don't you guys need to keep all that nice air conditioned air inside and keep the hot stuff out?

We dont have that much AC in Sydney, older houses are not setup for it. We do have a layers of it in the roof, and we have a cavity wall but thats it, nwere places are better I would think, tho our temps are 6 deg c to 45 deg c and while at 6 I might wish i had some, the rest of the time its fine.

45 deg C is fine? Is it humid? I was in Japan last summer and 30 C with 95% humidity was unliveable, I sweat a years worth in 10 days.

Not that much AC?
I was thinking the same thing as Ruzty. Anything over 33 and things get cookin fast. We do have some silly summer humidity here. AC is a must for us!!
Let's not even start in with the winter.

Its an older house thing, you cant always put in full house AC... and we dont get 45 very often, and with smaller AC units and fans plus you do get used to heat LOL
Humdity can he high here, but usually when its hot its bearable, eg today was 35C and 19%.
