And the blue spot conversion is 2 finger braking into every corner.
I just did a similar conversion and all as I can say is be carful it's easy to lock the front wheel up with them.

Thanks !
Yeah I'm familiar with modern light switch brakes.
The spongy stockers are just too weak to spend $ on

So, everything came in the post and mocked up in the garage.
Lo and behold, the clutch side rotor carrier mount on the factory rim is 3mm too close to the fork leg.
The rotor bolts nearly make contact with the fork leg and the rotor just kisses the caliper webbing around the mounting tabs and outer caliper body.
So, either I machine the rims rotor hub and bring the disc back closer to center or I minimally grind the caliper bolts and body. I haven't measured anything but having everything mounted revealed this.
I noticed just how un-centered the rotor was on the factory disc last time I re-built this mess.
I can't see any reason for the rotor offset as the torque input would be minimal ?
So close! :smt022

Certainly looks 'trick'
Beyond that... it's the Tire that stops Not the brake :-)

That Michelin doesn't do too bad, even cold.
Well, I couldn't bare to re-do the stock calipers only to be let down by thier performance.
+ my stock rotors were getting close to thier limits, ya know being 30+ years old and all :smt012
So I bit the bullet and went for the upgrade.
After some tinkering around, I FREAKING LOVE THESE BRAKES !
One or two finger squeeze and bam! Stoppies !
The forks do flex a bit, but so do my other bikes so I'm used to it.
For anyone interested, it's definitely worth it.
You don't have to get the nice rotors but hey, I got a pretty good deal.
