'88 RZ350 - YZF600R front end with stock wheel
I just picked up a YZF600R front end and i have the hole front end. I would ideally like to use the stock front wheel, and i am trying to figure out the best way to deal with this. I know that the front axle of the YZF600R is 17mm. I am trying to figure out the wheel bearing size for the stock RZ350 wheel, so i can plan how i am going to make this work.

What year are you looking at?
Just ran outside and looked at the wheels I have. This is for the 86+ RZ:
12mmID x 37mmOD for the front wheel bearing.

There is a reduced radius in the very center of the wheel as well which may become a concern for 17mm axle but my calipers do not have deep enough jaws to reach.

The RZ is a 6301 bearing, 12mm wide. A quick search came up with this;

You would need to make up a new inner spacer with the larger bore (or shorten one from the 600) but this might do it. They will turn a lot slower on a motorcycle wheel than a go-kart wheel (at the same road speed), but I wouldn't expect them to last as long as the standard size. Since you will need to make new outer spacers you could size them to work with the stock RZ axle seals, and you will also need to consider the speedo drive. I have a YZF600 speedo drive around if you want me to check the ratio, they might be the same.

Here is my latest idea. All balls racing makes a bearing that is 35x17x10. I was going to make a sleeve for the wheel that is 37mmOD and 35mm OD to accommodate the bearing and then a 2mm spacer to take up the space. I plan on dumping the yzf speedo and putting a spacer in its place. Are there advantages to this way over the kart bearing? (I've always liked the all balls bearings and have never had an issue). My only concern was running a smaller bearing and losing issues.
Also what kind of material should I make the bushings and spacers out of. Aluminum would be the easiest for me to turn out on my lathe (I'm an amateur but can make stuff happen)

Six versus half a dozen really. The bearing you quoted is wider so will have larger dia. balls, which translates to more load capacity. Smaller OD means it will spin a bit faster, but inconsequential in my mind. I think your find would be the better bearing , but more work. I would make the sleeve out of aluminum, make it a tighter fit than the bearing, you don't want it moving. Use the same width inner spacer as the RZ, just with a 17mm bore, and take up the extra width with the outer spacers that you'll have to make anyway. If you make them the right size you can retain the stock RZ seals. The stock spacers are steel (plated) because the seal runs on them.
