I installed some rearsets from Slipstream on my 1973 RD350 and I'm trying to figure out how to setup a new mount for the rear brake light switch. Slipstream is trying to get me some customer photos, but no luck so far. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

I would fab a bracket that sits above/behind the cable for the switch itself. Drill a tiny hole for the spring on the cable connector.

Do you mean to weld the bracket to the frame or to the swing arm? Can you mark up a picture of what you mean?
Thanks!

You could always add a pressure switch banjo bolt and operate it that way.

No pressure switch...it's not hydraulic brakes

Yeah, that would matter. Sorry I didn't look closer at the application.

I meant a bracket on the rearsets themselves that's bolt on to hold the brake switch. Think what's on the frame bolted to the rearsets. I would be horizontal though.

The front brake master cylinder on rd and rz etc. have a little microswitch to activate the brake light.
Wondering if you could use one of those, maybe in the area of the adjustable stop bolt on your rearsets?

Or a newer Yamaha one like this:
