Yes the chart is mine and it was run with "Thruxton" needles and 135 main jets but was told to fit the standard Bonny needle and go up to 140 main jet

They said the Thruxton needles made it too rich at the bottom and the taper meant it didn't need as big main jets as if you used the Bonny needle as the needle is never fully out the emulsion tube ?

I sent a pic of the graph to TTP and he said the spikes on the gas analyser were maybe caused by the probe not being pushed far enough up the silencer ?

TEC rear shocks now fitted
The reservoirs look a bit out of place but saw another Bonny that had a black strip over the remote reservoirs and it made them blend in :smt024

Put some 50mm heat shrink over the rear shock reservoir/canisters

Takes the eye off them me thinks :smt001

Fitted EBC front disc as the old one was worn down to minimum thickness
This one is a floating disc compared to standard and is a little lighter with the alloy centre
Titanium disc bolts too for that power to weight ratio :smt005

My barrels are 790cc being an early model

Sending head to Bob Farnham who is a 2 stroke Guru but also has a soft spot for the Triumph Twins

He will skim it and do a gas flow job and reckons 75bhp ish and high 50's torque :smt024

I used to be a Heinz Man but Branston do a thicker sauce, no turning back after that :smt005

Anyone who cant appreciate a Triumph twin new or old, should have their issued (enthusiast licence) revoked, same goes for Harley bashers. Most classic styled bikes are just wonderful machines be it dirt or road.

Sorry, don't like the Harley's. Don't bash them. Just don't like anything about them...well, maybe the history. Saw a '47 knucklehead tonight.

Hope to change the barrels this winter (UK)

Thinking of not getting the gas flow now and just get the shims done and make sure the valves are sealing and in good condition

Got to get some space in the garage before I do anything :smt010

This is how it looks now, only difference are some plastic side panels to replace the metal ones

Sold the metal ones and got some from a brand new bike for not much more
They have "T100" on them though but that's what they ended up calling the Bonnevilles with spoked wheels

Not as much BHP as expected but the big surprise was the 11 pounds of extra torque, especially at bottom end

Original bike made 54 BHP and 44 ft/lbs of torque
Gutted airbox, free flowing exhausts and ignition mod made 61BHP and 48 ft/lbs
865 barrels and CR 35 carbs made 69BHP and 59 ft/lbs torque and making maximum torque at 4100rpm

So for some second hand barrels and pistons and second hand CR 35 Keihin Smoothbores and a bit of DIY cleaning up of the inlet tracts :smt035
