Dream bike

Post by Zombie »

If you could only have just 1 bike (horrible, I know) but money wasn't an object, what would it be? For me, it would be a TZ750 engine in a OW81 type/size frame with modern Ohlins suspension front and rear (single sided swingarm and inverted forks) with carbon fiber wheels and bodywork in classic yellow, black & white.

I like the looks of the 2moto bike, I've got a 3MA roller to do something with eventually. Interesting means of mounting the engine. :smt002 (runs for cover)

lol. Why anyone would want a TZ750 as their 'only' motorcycle is beyond me. What your saying is you like to wrench and drink beer in your garage. Without even touching the road legal aspect you would constantly be doing maintenance.

New F3? RSV4? One of the neat Bimota bikes? I almost certainly would not be a classic 2-stroke if could only have one....

To answer the question my thoughts are pretty much in line with Petros. There are lots of neat bikes out there that would suit my taste so picking one would be hard. Removing cost as an issue you might as well go towards the top of the pile.

I'm a little surprised that the MTT Jet Turbine bike hasn't been mentioned yet.. 450hp, $180,000..
And one in Jay Leno's garage.

I'm a pretty simple guy. For a 4 stroke not much compares w the beauty of a nice cruiser & this is oh so close to what I'd choose ..just pure classic motorcycle w drop dead good looks.

And for the 2stroke, Really any good YZR (replica only) not a real one. Only painted to my favorite color scheme this is it...obviouslly...lol

I think a TZ750 engine could be livable with some minor modern improvements, namely a set of carbs with an idle circuit!
