These seemed so very interesting until I bought a project. After having picked up one of those motors, even after all that work I have no interest in riding one. The goldwing of 2-strokes.

Re: EGLI 750 Susuki water buffalo / kettle.
Is that it? I dragged a 95 ZX6 and a boiler out of my garage at about the same time and I thought they weighed about the same. I have heard a few older guys talk about them in the same sentence as a TZ750 once you add an aftermarket frame but I think in reality all they had in common was the displacement. Sort of like "My RZ350 can keep up with new litre bikes" :P Sorry...had to do it.
Re: EGLI 750 Susuki water buffalo / kettle.
I just put 2 of these away for storage, maybe I'm stronger than I think I am , definitely heavy. You can get 110 HP out of them fairly easily, they are way over built and under powered. Look up TR750 replicas which was what I had planned for them, there are some very nice ones out there.
Re: EGLI 750 Susuki water buffalo / kettle.
If they weren't so rare-ish, I'd use one for a few experiments, like grafting on reed cages, methanol carbs, heavy porting & pipes..
But I don't wanna cut up something semirare.
Not too much anyway.
