Here's a video from South Texas banshee that show you basically how to build your own leak down tester and how to apply it using a bicycle pump to create the psi - recommended at 6-7 psi. The vid tester showed a major leak in a crank seal. The vid author appears to have other teck vids that might be helpful to form members - especially RZ'ers. Off to get building it!

Windex is great for finding leaks, bubbles like crazy. It works better if you can dribble it on, i.e. with a syringe, rather than spraying it.

Got my kit bought - $43. Odd, the photo I posted today is deleted. Wondering if the downing of the site resulting in a trojan. Hopefully not. Russ thx for the windex tip - give it a shot. (Huh, my photos back).
Got the last bit today - frost plugs (1 1/4" or 32mm). Intake manifolds are plugged with 33mm pcv pipe (1 1/4") pipe with a screw in plug and 1/4" flex hosing to a shaver valve for my bicycle pump. Ck'd on Amazon, for the kit - $264 + shipping.

That's nice but try the same thing with the carbs installed and the intake plugs on the carbs , you will be surprised , these carbs ooze a lot , specially from the cable
junction . If you want a crisp throttle you should include the carbs in the test .
