hose size from Oil tank to injector pump

#1 Post by kampinguru » Mon Apr 03, 2017 1:35 pm

It would appear that the part from Yamaha is not available anymore. I bought some fuel line that I thought would work but the OD is too big to go into the rubber grommet that holds the hoses when they come out of the Injector pump housing. Does anyone know what ID and OD sized hose the original one is? Also trying to figure out how the little oil line clips work on the supply lines to the carbs. the clips are small round tubes and I dont just want to force them over the hose. This is for a 1989 RZ350 F2 Thanks

The original part used to have a form bend right out of the oil tank. That is no longer available, but there are a number of offerings on e-bay and others for flexible tank-to-pump tubing.

Regarding the little clips, the way I do it is to place the clip about 5 mm behind the leading edge of the tube. In that way, you can start insertion easy, and then the clip will expand on its own as you finish the insertion. Once the tube bottoms on the carb attachment, you can slide the already expanded clip to sit just shy of the end of the tube.

If you try to slide the clip after the tube is fully inserted, then you have the tendency of slicing the tube with the edge of the clip.

Thank you Alex. I appreciate the information. I never used the little clips on the race bike and the tubes never came off but I am doing this one up as close to OEM as I can get. I will look for the tubing on-line.

Hose part number;90445-090F6
Oil hose clips;90467-08003
Yes the oil line doesnt have the bend but it still does the same job.
You can still buy new oem oil injector lines & clips too.

I've used tygon RC car fuel line for years, doesn't go hard, fits through the grommets, you can see that you have all the air bled out and it stays on fine without the clips. Any hobby shop that sells nitro RC cars will have it.
