The Yamaha service manual is incomplete in showing, but seeking confirmation of how the tachometer cable is to run to the engine on 1984-1985 RZ350 USA models.
Appears the cable routs through the top between the carbs and and held aside by a clip on top of inside of the right carb down to the engine? Right?
And that top of carb clip (to hold the tach cable - not vacuum hose to petcock) seems to be shown in the service manual on the wrong side of the carb top. Should be on the inside - correct?
Thanks. Any pics appreciated.

Re: RZ350 USA TACHOMETER CABLE routing to engine
In the US they had them to keep the Environmental Protection Agency happy, the carbs are not easily adjusted or altered and complemented the catalyst pipes and 48H barrels to allow Yamaha to import them to the US at a time when smokey things were becoming unwelcome.JonW wrote:Yeah, those are the USA and Japan market carbs Rory, no idea why they had those and the ROW didnt get em.
