Running lights

#1 Post by squish » Wed Mar 09, 2016 8:24 pm

Howdy all. Got a little gremlin hiding in my electrics (84 US spec RZ350). No headlight (high or low beam), no clock lights, or running tail light. The brake light DOES operate fine. All of my fuses and their connectors are good and I've got a newer battery. The rest of the bike is fine including YPVS, dummy dash lights, and turn signals. Bike runs fine as well.
What gives?

Based on what I just looked at briefly in the wiring diagram, check the yellow wire. Trace that. It seems to be the one that has all your problems in common.

Actually it was the blue/back wire that had come lose at the connector block. I had replaced the fuse box a while back and the blade-like part of the terminal vibrated out.

Now I think one of the coil wires got lose or I have a bad plug wire.

Thanks for your help
