spark plug choice?

#1 Post by spook » Fri Nov 10, 2017 3:12 am

At the moment I can purchase any type of spark plugs at about $6- each at the local auto supply joint.
My question is, do I change to Iridium plugs?
Cheers,
Russell.

If your plugs need replacing then sure. They are longer life. Will you notice performance improvement simply switching them out? No. It would be such a fractionally minor improvement if any its not worth changing.

I ran Iridium plugs once, I didn't think they were noticeably better, but not worse either. If you can get them for $6 why not. Use the same range NGK, but IIRC the number ends in IX for Iridium.
