84 Canadian 350 oil level sensor

#1 Post by Martman » Tue Apr 17, 2018 5:11 pm

Looking for some input - my 84 that I restored has a 3 wire oil level sensor (blk, blk/red,light blue) Does anyone know if this is correct for a Canadian 84? The rubber is hard as hell and of course leaks if you fill the tank. I know..don't fill the tank..I get it. Local dealer found part # 34X-8572002-00 - can anyone verify this? Interweb search shows 2 wire sensor with this part #.

Thanks in advance

My 84 has a 3 wires flat connector so yours is correct . Canada 83-84-85 are 3 wires , 86+ are 2 wires .You can repair the rubber plug with a few turns of black electrical tape .
