Twin headlamp fairing for RZ350?

Re: Twin headlamp fairing for RZ350?
It does look great. I wouldn't worry about the overlap as long as you fit. I'm really partial to the TZ glass. Small and light. ...but Russ, that is very cool looking. Nice work!

Re: Twin headlamp fairing for RZ350?
Pic from front and/or 45 degree angle please?
I've got the spec II fairing on one bike and I really dislike the square headlight for it. 1 round headlight never looks good on a full fairing and it wouldn't fit without fiberglass cutting, so I too am thinking about an fz fairing (or maybe just the top section(?)) or other dual headlight ideas.
There is this square, but dual headlight unit that by all measurements should fit right into my bike's fairing (obviously removing the "flip up" cover: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Motor ... 1857514842" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
I haven't seen one mounted on a bike, but for $25 it might be worth a try. I never ride at night so excellent lighting wouldn't be a worry for me. I also think this light could look pretty cool on a naked rz, so if/when I ditch the spec II fairing for a different look, something like that might be in the hopper. I also like the lights on the yamaha zuma scooters...

Re: Twin headlamp fairing for RZ350?
I didn't take any from the front yet, and it's all off now since I noticed it seemed offset to one side and I want to confirm the birdcage is straight before I start cutting parts to fit together, I'll post a pic for you next time I test fit it.

Disco, check this out, if I can post it here.

Re: Twin headlamp fairing for RZ350?
I have a dual headlight fairing buried in storage that I will try to dig out & take pictures for your reference. It's been a while, but I think the upper was FZ600 but the sides are just two pieces split along the bottom like a TZR 250. The guages mount a little differently to accommodate the top infill panels. The mirrors are FZ750.
I didn't like the look from behind the bars - too much like the first CBR600...

Re: Twin headlamp fairing for RZ350?
Hi OldTZracer,
I have a project where I was going to use the FZR600 dual headlight in a TZ250s fibreglass fairing. When it came to mounting everything, I realized I had a lot of work to make a bracket to carry headlight, clocks etc.
Then I tried my TZR250 1KT fairing and it looks like an easy fit all around.
Now, this has peaked my interest again in trying the twin headlight option.
If you dig out the FZR600 upper, would you mind measuring the length of the join where the upper meets the lower Please.

Re: Twin headlamp fairing for RZ350?
Here are a few pictures comparing the 1UA side panels with the dual headlight fairing.
The front screw lines up but the rear one is off by10mm
The headlight assy looks like it is from the FZR1000

That is way different from mine, what model/year is it?
