Found this 'how to' apply decals on compound curve surfaces (i.e. LC tank) proper. Brilliant. Instructions are in 3 videos and uses a wet application which appears to provide more control on decal prep & placement. Video shows how to place a decal on a yellow round Yamaha motoX gas tank. Those are great vids, defo helpful for anyone doing this. Ive done it and wish Id seen them beforehand, would have made me more confident and thats half the battle with this stuff.

Soapy water works just as well. I take em right off the backing paper when I need to see where exactly to put em.

Yep, thats how I do it. Even then you always run into a compound curve that is just a bitch to get the decal to fit properly. An old hair dryer works wonders to soften the decal and help it stick down once you have it properly placed.evan_calgary wrote:Soapy water works just as well. I use a Windex bottle with a few drops of dishwashing liquid in it. Works a charm.
