decal

#1 Post by jeremie » Tue Jul 28, 2020 9:04 am

Saw some full sets of decals on ebay
Anybody with ideas on where to find RZ decals? or have a right upper?
Are all the fairings interchangeable for the RZ's from 85 to 89? (the only difference being the paint scheme)
Thanx

If you want the best use www.rddecals.com

I'm sure Tacky will agree :smt003

Whatever you choose...avoid eBay decals kits if possible, unless from one of the previously mentioned sellers. Most eBay kits are very poor quality and colour.

Regarding your fairing question; the 85-90 full fairing bikes (so, non-US bikes), use the same front fairings, but 85 uses different rear plastic. So, the only fairing parts the same are the front 4 pieces.

Just go to the site mentioned by Silverstorm. I've used 20+ kits from them and they were great.

It would be nice if we could get decals made in the new gen decal material but I don't see it happening.

Be mindful about storage of the decal kit as the glue on the paper will eat into the vinyl and bleed the decal colours. Storage (I thought proper) render them useless after a year and half. I purchased the original set fm Europe. Just bought my second set from RD Decals for immediate application. Be aware RD Decals is super busy due to Covid having many bike enthusiasts dusting off their restoration projects - so there maybe a wait time involved. Still decided it would be a faster purchase than quarintine time involving importation - we'll see. Looking fwd to delivery.

I used some 30 + years old NOS decals for a 1983 RZ and they were in perfect condition , no issues at all .

Can anyone comment on the color match of the RD Decals? If I only did the tank decals would it closely match the factory decals?
