Anyone have information where I can look for an RZ full fairing?
I've seen a few but from what I can see, the options are limited.

I think airtech do one dont they, a few guys have them Rory and someone else. Its 'different' and a bit 'Marmite...' (Er, one for google perhaps! LOL). Other than that you could bolt anything on with some effort, back in the day the Aussies sold a full fairing for the early models, it bolted on with some bits of angle iron, I think Arron showed it in his 443 thread, mental.

Oh yes! Thats the one Arron...good to see you posting again mate!

I always considered that with this fairing that the aeros might have gained a rider about 10kph, but the weight negated the speed LOL.

Weve since determined that these were sold to help make the old RZs seem a bit more modern in the RG/TZR/RGV/KR etc crowd

If you order AirTech, ask for an extra layer of glass to stiffen things up a bit. It's under 30 lbs, all in.

I took the motor apart last night. Most everything looks fine.
The major area of concern is the pistons / cylinders / crank.
Found some grit in the bottom of the crank and as the pictures show, the pistons and cylinders are a bit rough. (I’ve seen much worse)
The bottom ring on each piston is stuck in the ring groove on the exhaust side. Not sure why this would happen. Please chime in with possible reasons.
The tranny looks fantastic. :smt026

I’m lovin this project. :smt003
Already did some research on paint - powdercoat as well as a few extra RZ parts & pieces.
Although I need to get started on getting the rust taken care of on the base of the tank.

As I reassemble the motor (center cases complete) I keep wrestling with the idea of running the oil injection or running mixed gas.
I don’t plan on doing any long rides on the bike so having mixed fuel here at the house is doable.
What would you guys do?

I would run it with the pump, It just makes life a lot easier and it gets the correct mix etc every time, Plus easier to jet...

O.K.
I’ll get in touch with Arrow. Maybe he can also help me find replacement rubber grommets for the pump too. All mine are in fairly poor condition.

Arrow is the man for pumps :smt023
I bought a rebuilt one from him for my 421 motor and it's working flawlessly!! And his prices are good too.
