RZ/R6 Hybrid

#1 Post by racerm0123 » Sat Apr 22, 2017 4:18 am

I've looked through the threads a bit and can't find anything other than one that had the tank and some other pieces but has anyone tried to do an RZ motor into a full R6 chassis? If so how did it turn out and what were some issues that you/they ran into with the build?

Don't have any knowledge on how to do this... but you may want to look here http://forums2.13x.com/index.php?thread ... ct.343108/

Good link! Should mostly be an issue of building a cradle and sprocket alignment but those are large issues to tackle. The RZ motor is much smaller an a I4. The large rear tire may be a bit underwhelmed by the power though.

You will of course see the R6 wrapped RZ500 on this site as well. Absolutely beautiful bike and could near pass for a R6 without closer inspection and all the extra pipes in place. I actually thought it was on a R6 frame as well until I was told otherwise by Rory.

Rory showed me a couple videos from visiting you. Very cool bike. Nice and tingy like a 2 stroke should be!
