I picked up a set of front (I believe, as they have short wires) indicators from a chap in the UK:

And these are the pics of my dented tank... not cheap but its been dipped and doesn't have any holes that I can see. Some might question the wisdom of repairing this football, and certainly paying up for the privilege, but in Aus there are seriously zero N/F2 tanks around now.

Its dented on the top, an easy'ish fix I would hope.

Depth over the dent:

...and the other way:

And also on the right hand side... less easy of a fix, this must have been a big hit as its gone all the way up and messed up the roll over the top and side edges where the steel is actually very strong due to the fold.

You should be able to blow much of that out.

You and I have a lot on the go. I'm working on finishing up my motorcycle mechanic apprenticeship to add to my small list of qualifications. Still going to be a while until I get back at some progress on my bikes. Have to build a money raiser for my son.

I like to say one at a time. Let's be real here, it never works like that. You motor along really well on something, and then the "holy grail" elusive part comes along and messes with your finances/budget, and space, because now you have to pull out the project that needed the part, and voila, your priorities have changed. As you say Jon, then life sticks it's head in the mix.

This is about as true as it gets! Also, I don't think you're a true "project" guy, unless you're planning, and gathering for three projects ahead!

I guess I am, with 14 at hand. Most need to be simultainiously attacked in order to sort all the parts, and know what is needed to complete the tasks.

Better have a dented tank than rusted , just open the bottom .

That's the way, uh uh, uh uh, I like it, uh uh, uh uh!

Although, the fibreglass tanks are much lighter, and don't dent. But they don't like ethanol.

The US has 20% ethanol in their pump gas.'

Hmm, id rather not cut the bottom out of any of my tanks, I'll try the PDR route first :)

No GRP tanks for me, the thought of the increasing sales of ethanol scares me and I like steel or plastic better.
