Tank survived. Few dings but it was far from perfect in the first place.

Had to buy 3 of these before I found one that was even close to fitting. 2 rear mounting holes are off.
Shouldn't be a big deal to sort out.

Will look further but I doubt I'd want the ass sticking up in the air that much.
Engine does fit nicely between the frame. Just seems to be a different style of frame where the SV engine is tall.
Would prefer things to be more compact. If I were to do that the section of the frame where the swing arm is would need to be shorter.

I had the same problem with cabon fiber front fender for my gsxr fork. I think fitment issues are really common. Mine was really bad though, could not get it to fit right so i sold it..I bought from the US but i suspect it was chinese made. As for now i think i will get an Oem fender then get it water transfer printed. If i still will be doing the carbon thing..
It looks like an interesting project. It will be really cool if you can get all the things to fit right together..

The first one I bought was awful. Was amazed the seller (China) actually took it back. Same thing with the second one, also China.
3rd one actually fit without being distorted. I'm going to fab a nice looking bracket for the rear mounting location.

I'm slightly surprised the tank fits as well as it does on the SV650 frame.

Hello. I'm not able to go back far enough in my purchase history to know for sure.
I believe it is this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pre-Preg-Carbo ... SwLrNZpR4V" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For the price it was worth taking a chance. I'm relatively happy with what I ended up with. I should probably check again to be sure. :D

Years later....

I've decided not to go with the modern frame. I've decided I really like the modern wheels and tires on the old 80's RZ frame.
Might be nostalgia. I don't know what I was thinking wanting to go to a modern frame. :smt017

I have more than a couple of RZ350s and I purchased a baffed SV650 to drop an engine into. I may end up using an LC power plant.
