Answer:

There's a small gap between the frame and rear seat pads.

That gap is not a bad thing. I think using rubber damper there may be a better option than hard mounting to the frame.

I've always used a strip of rubber glued to the seat.

But every time it flexes, it puts pressure on the front mount.

I'm thinking that a solid spacer would help prevent the front mount from cracking.

Battery box construction done.

Just needs clean up, polishing, and TiN coating on the titanium parts.

Not sure if this is a good place to post this, but I know a few people are still enjoying the updates.

I haven't had time to let it sink in, but found out this week. I have cancer and didn't catch it early. Not saying it's metastasized/spread- I don't know, yet.

Don't want to discuss cancer in my bike thread. Please.

Just want you guys to know what's up, in case the updates disappear.

Sure would like to see the project get finished, but not sure it's possible, now.

I'm not giving up on any of my project bikes, yet.

Fucking horrible all day triple surgery on Tuesday.
Game face on now. Tournament attitude.
Honestly, don't think cancer has a chance against me.
Will be back to working on bikes soon.
Can't thank you guys enough for the years of good times.

I have to say, I have learned a lot about jigging frames and fabbing stuff from your great pix. Keep up the amazing work.
