I got the photo.

I was talking about fitting some different wheels, so I don't have to use the new Marchesini wheels during pipe fabrication.

Decided to just wrap the wheels and bought 2 welding blankets.

Plans might change. May not be renting a van to transport the bike to a pipe fabricator. Might break down the bike and throw it in a car. So, now I'm worried about the new wheels again.

My old WR aftermarket rims have smaller axles, so custom work is needed.

Designed some simple aluminum axles, collars and spacers. No threads, just cotter pin holes.

Plans and wheels already at the machine shop.

These are throw-away parts, so trying to make them as cheap and simple as possible to machine.

Rear axle blocks done and axle cut. Need to drill cotter pin holes and cut 2 spacers.

Guess I never bought any chain adjuster bolts and nuts. Look like M8 x 1.00. All I have are M8 x 1.25. Can't finish the rear without them. Not sure if I can find them in titanium.

Tried to fit the temporary axles and parts.

Cotter pin holes are in the wrong place on both axles. :smt012

I wrote down all the measurements.
I drew a diagram showing placement of the holes with measurements.
I discussed specific placement of the cotter pin holes.
The machine shop manager repeated the instructions back to me and showed me on the drawing how he would do it.

Whatever. Not giving up.

Bolt length and pitch aren't listed.

Checking it out and still looking in the mean time.

Thanks for checking! :smt023

Thanks, bro. I guess it was just the pitch.

Looks like the adjuster bolts are M8 with 1.00 pitch.

I only have M8 x 1.25 and they don't fit.

All the wheel conversion parts are done. Just need these bolts to secure the rear wheel.

Temporary wheels and tires installed. These smaller tires are 2 inches less in diameter.

On the front, the collars in the axle clamps position the wheel in the center of the forks.

This bike started life just one piece at a time.

Pretty much all of the Aprilia parts were purchased from AF1.

Sometimes I wonder where these almost new parts come from.

When the M8 x 1.25 bolts wouldn't fit in the swingarm, I thought they could be M8 x 1.00.

No such luck. The threads were jacked in BOTH swingarms I bought. Had to retap the threads. Needed an extra long tap, but was able to get by using a socket extension.

Fucking sabotage never ends!

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning this dirty-ass bike.

Removed all titanium hardware and unecessary parts.

Still need a few more proper bolts.

Will try to figure out how to break down the bike, fit all parts it in the car, and quickly reassemble by myself without damaging anything.

Will post some pics of this soon.

Renting a van for delivery and pickup is expensive as shit, so that's a last resort.

Last time the exhaust tips were welded to the silencers, I didn't like the result.

Better get that right before I send the bike to a pipe maker.

Had the parts loaded up before I found out the welder is on vacation again.

Test is a sucess.

I can break down the bike and fit the parts and tools in the car.

Most difficult part will be padding and securing everything.
