And they’re definitely a lot shinier.

Hi mate.
Thank you very much for your insightful comment.
It was kind of you to point out the incredibly obvious, even though the merely obvious would have done.

The good news is, I have a plan. :smt003

I think I've been hearing about a plan for several years now? :smt017

The Koso EGT gauge came with a pretty nice mounting bracket.
The bracket had a part that was rubber mounted, so that the gauge was cushioned from any shocks.
Unfortunately I couldn’t find any way of using the Koso bracket that would mount the Gauge in a useful location on the FZR400 triple clamp.

I decided to cut up the Koso bracket so that I could use the rubber mounting part, and then bolted it to an aluminum bracket, which then bolted to the FZR triple.

This is what it looks like when it’s all together.

This is what it looks like when it’s installed.

Unfortunately, the temperature gauge display, the LED for the shift light, and the LED for the 2nd ignition curve in the Zeel,
were mounted below the gauge cluster, and when I put the Koso gauge here, it hid the other displays, so they had to be relocated.

The 2 LED’s are now mounted above & to the left of the EGT gauge, and the Temperature display is mounted above & to the right of the EGT gauge.

What you don’t see when you’re riding the bike, is the LED for the 2nd ignition curve in the Zeel.
The last thing you want is this LED shining directly into your eyes.
Trust me. I’ll know when it’s on.

And here’s something that I hope I never see when I’m on this bike.

- Tach and Speedo at zero.
- Temperature gauge at max.
- And the EGT on one cylinder 400*C hotter than the other cylinder.
