Glad you can still work on bikes!

A few small parts arrived.

Got the kicker powder coated and rebuilt.

Rebuilt the rear caliper with new pistons, seals, bleed screw and hardware.

Needed it bad. Had to scrape lots of crusty crap out of the seal grooves.

Just noticing those OEM chain adjusters need an upgrade.

Plugged in all the OEM electrical parts to make sure everything still works. Mostly good. Need to check the neutral switch and oil level sender. Also need to rewire the tail light and add rear turn signals.

Was able to figure out about half the OEM dash wiring using a test light. The wiring diagram I have is from an L model and isn't exactly the same as my N model bike.

I think the best way to proceed is to disconnect the OEM dash and buy matching wire connectors, so I can test the new dash without cutting the OEM harness (yet).

If the new dash works, I'll need to cut about 2 feet off the OEM harness and do some other creative wiring. Not looking forward to that. Also need to wire the ignition switch into the new location.

Searching for a good place that sells the OEM type connectors. Already ordered a new AGM type battery. Was going to go for a LiFePo4, but saw too many pics of burned up batteries. Not reliable enough for a daily bike.

Also pretty sure I'm not using those headlights I bought. Just don't trust them in the rain. Not really sure what headlight to go with. The forks are narrow, so I'm looking at motard and mini stuff.

the rebuilt kicker should be noise free now, at least mine was.
Someone mentioned radio shack had the connectors.
How are you liking the conti attack 2's ?
I'm on my last set of avons and will be going to those next.
I see you used socket head screws on the caliper mount.
The hollow r6/r1 bolts work too and are cheap on fleabay.

One of my new Contis is WAY out of balance and required a shitload of weights on the rim. :smt011

Got this coming soon. Never seen one of these on an RZ.

Needs some yellow paint and maybe a custom sticker to match the OEM sticker on the tail.

Nearly impossible for me to order parts without some problem.

Got the new windscreen. Screw missing front and center. I don't have a matching screw, of course.

Battery arrived. Still waiting on wire terminals.

Plenty of other stuff to work on.

Gee Smoker, when I commented on that some time ago you said the wheel was out of balance.

I searched this thread and your post history - and have no idea what you're referring to.

Well Hillary, perhaps you should check your old school rz350 build post dated Sep 17, 2014. Hondaror and I both commented about the amount of weight.

Have you balanced the wheel in question without a tire? Could be your wheel.[/quote]
waltmil wrote:That does possibly open up some more options but I've never been a Conti fan. Judging by the lead you have on the rim they may still have construction issues. I think I have about a tenth of that on my BT45s.
