Pretty sure these are American/SAE screws. Different lengths, wrong threads.

Dickhead previous owner.

Got some more stainless and aluminum hardware. Bike is actually starting to look pretty nice.
Lol..I just found the same thing on my YTZ Tri Z, all rhe front triples and misc. I just said Fuck it & bought a complete parts bike for $150.00 bucks. Then some forum enthusiasts manufacture a complete stainless bolt kit, so ordered up a box from them. Now I can powdercoat, chrome, polish & anodize, everything without taking the machine our of operation until I'm ready for the engine & big bore cylinder kit. :smt023 I promised myself I wont take on another project I cant ride

Got a new front brake reservoir, billet anodized cap, and powder coated custom bracket.

Then decided I want something different.

Made this stainless double threaded adapter for a rotating bar clamp.

New reservoir arm mounts onto the bar clamp.

Goes together like this.

Next to it is a red rotating bar clamp for the brake lever. Reservoir clamp matches, but now- it's too much red.

Will powder coat the red clamps black.

Not really happy with the new reservoir setup, either. Will do for now, 'till I come up with something else.

FUCK!! 2 for 1.

Last night I must have clipped the new turn signal when I walked by the bike.

Image

Looking at it, I noticed a small piece of tape on the freshly powder coated bracket. The tape was lifting on one side, so I peeled it off. DAMN!! Needs to be re-powder coated.

Look up Keensert, made for just such applications. Not stainless, but they won't come out.

Thanks, bro. That would be LOTS cheaper than custom.

I did a quick search, but didn't find the specific threads I needed: M10x1.25 with M6x1.00. (Did find M10x1.50 with M6x1.0.)

The speedo hookup that came with the new dash fits between the OEM cable & the OEM dash, or the OEM cable & the wheel output. But, I don't want to use the OEM cable.

Found an Acewell speedo cable that fits on the wheel output, but doesn't connect to my Acewell dash. Transplanted the connector from the original speedo hookup. No idea if this will work - but we'll find out.

Latest problem.

Trying to find a thin-walled 180 degree metal tube to splice in and prevent this crimping. OD = 8mm.
Haven't found anything, yet.

The details is always impressive. Would a shorter hose not fix the issue? Typically the issue with fuel lines, too much slack.

Failing that, throwing titanium at the problem might solve it :)

I don't think so. I was trying to make it as short as possible, without crimping. It was good for a couple of days, then it gave out.

No titanium on this bike. Just a nice daily rider, nothing fancy. :smt003

Wiring the new dash. Would like to get the dash connected and tested before cutting any OEM wires.

Don't want to cut the connectors of the OEM dash, and not sure if I'll use them, anyway.

Insulated the wire terminals with double heat shrink tubing, and will plug direct into the old connector, for now. Will re-wire after testing.

How about slipping a long spring over it to keep it from collapsing?

I'm working on a similar idea. Tube with a spring inside the wall.

FYI:
These fit the above connector:
https://www.louis.eu/artikel/electric-p ... 1465407727" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In the US you can get them from http://www.cycleterminal.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If I were you, I'd simply remove the pins from the stock housing and then connect them.
(Note which cable was where or take some pics)
Here's some detail pics that should be self explaining: http://www.cycleterminal.com/110-connectors.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Bye
