RuZty wrote:How do you like the Session? I've been thinking about a GoPro for a while and really like the size of those. They aren't as feature rich as the top end ones, but less than half on both price and size. The nice thing is that if you find it is getting used enough to want a higher spec one you can use them together and sync them for multiple views. What frame rate and resolution were you using on that video?
RuZty,
I actually have an older GoPro 2 that I use. That is just a pic I got from the internet to show the mount. I have it set on 1080p/30fps. I'll have to check out that camera though, it does look nice and compact! :smt023

I installed a new clutch in the bike as the old one was starting to slip due to the added power and 15 years of use. I put in the FZR 1000 friction plates, smooth drive plates, and three of the heavier springs that came with the kit from Driveline Performance. Also trying some Lucas oil 20-50w instead of the Mobil One. So far it's working great!! :smt023
Took a video with the camera in a different location this time. Check it out. :smt003

Nice Charlie!

Sounds like no clutch slip at all. :smt045

Your roads sure look nice and smooth up there.

And the bike sounds great.

Thanks for sharing. :smt006

The white car is a Ford Falcon Sprint, but I digest..;p

Very nice bike! Power comes on much higher than I would expect on a stroker. Love watching the revs zip up into the "irresponsible range".

Here's a link to a short Facebook video of the weekly Tuesday Night Coffee gatherings in Beaverton OR. This was from earlier this summer. All kinds of bikes and people show up for these......mostly a younger crowd. So my buddy Mark (GT550) and I like to go stink it up there every once and a while. :smt003 Pretty cool that they got us as we were leaving. We definitely don't sound like the other bikes!! :smt023

Got out for a nice ride today to go see my buddy Mark's Triumph 600 Speed Four he just picked up. Very clean bike with about 8K miles on it. :smt023
Met him at Cycle Gear to check out his bike and shoot the shit for a bit. It was a little chilly today, but at least it was dry and not snowing!! :smt003
Took the scenic way home and stopped for a few glamor shots of the RZ. :smt045

I think it's a 2003. The looks kind of grow on you. The color really stands out quite nicely!! :smt023

I'm working on a new rear disc setup on the RZ and needed to get a banjo bolt for the Brembo caliper.
So I played hooky from work on Friday which happened to be a nice dry day, and rode to the Ducati shop we have here. (Motocorse)

I tried to blend in with all the Italian bikes, but it was pretty obvious I didn't fit in. :smt003 I think nearly everyone from inside the shop came out to see my bike.
They all thought it was a pretty cool bike I had. Answered a lot of questions, and had a good time BS'ing with them. Then I smoked them all out when I left!! :smt023

It finally stopped raining around here so I could head out for a proper test ride and try out the new rear brake setup. :smt041
Much better feel and stopping power than the old setup. It worked very nice!! :smt023

Went for a nice ride today with my buddy Mark on his Triumph Speed Four up to Bald Peak State Scenic Viewpoint. Then in to Newberg for lunch and back home.
Was supposed to be in the upper 60's today, but was rather chilly up on the mountain top. :smt037
Good to get out and enjoy the bikes!! :smt023

If you are in the Newberg area, hit me up. The Bald Peak ride is nice. There is a lot of great roads in the area. The RZ is down now but we have other bikes to ride. I saw your bike at the Yamaha dealer show this winter but alas you weren't there to talk to but the bike is really nice!

Yeah, I wasn't able to hang around the bike show all day like last time.
The Bald Peak ride with my buddy was a last minute decision, but next time I know I'm heading that way I'll give you a heads up. :smt023

In the picture of your rear wheel about 5 posts back, is there a crack in your dogbone or is that just road munge?

Well, I just had to run out to the garage to see what it was. Luckily it was only some road spooge!! :smt041
Thanks for bringing it to my attention though. :smt023
