Whenever I pull off a perfectly executed 3rd gear start (its a thing of beauty!) people become VERY interested how I pulled an entire field of $8000 ticking time bombs with my $2500 "old" bike.
I need to start getting some pictures on here..

How did you get the SV rear wheel and sprocket to line up with the engine drive sprocket? I'm doing an LC special with an SV rear wheel and suspect I may have to go to an offset countershaft sprocket.
10 mm offset sprocket with a spacer behind the rear sprocket as well.

I shaved down the SV sprocket carrier to bring the chain closer to the tire. Where did you get the offset countershaft sprocket?

Fast from the past. Could have gone with an 8mm. Nice to have that elm clearance on a fat tire. [emoji12]

While refueling one day, I had a guy a few pumps down jump out of his car and run over to see the RZ. He knew what it was and just stared at it. We briefly chatted. On the H2 with chambers, I can cause dogs and other animals to turn and run with the intake howl!

With the Toomey 2 into 1 on a hill below 5k rpm the intake howl reverberates so bad I need ear plugs!
I've never heard another motorcycle make that kind of noise. I often wonder what it sounds like passing by ?

My wife complains that nobody ever sees her nice RZ and that my LC gets all the attention. I had to laugh one day we were out and a guy comes up and start raving about my LC and then after a few minutes says. "Yea but I had an RZ back in the day." So I pointed out the wife's RZ parked all of 5 feet away and said, "You mean like that one?" He was amazed, my wife was slightly annoyed. :)

I think because the RZ is fully faired that it kind of blends in with the modern bikes while the naked LC stands out against all the plastic fairings. Oh and the LC is still beautiful so it should get lots of attention. ;)

If I had to keep just one bike it would be an LC with an RZ motor in it , the best of both world .

I kinda like my LC with its original motor. Way bigger hit than a power valve motor and I don't own an LC to go fast. Its the blast from the past factor I am loving. The LC is so much fun to ride. Reminds me of why I started riding all those years ago.

I know the difference in looks that's a given, but what is the ride on an LC like? When you say way bigger hit, is that because the power valves modulate the power band to be softer? Most people usually stare at you if you are riding a 2 stroke in the power band since it sounds like you're racing everywhere.

The LC, with no power valves has a much more sudden power band surge than the RZ. Properly tuned the RZ has a very smooth and subtle power delivery in comparison.

The LC feel a little bit under damped and you sit lower . When I was slimmer ( 75-80 Kg )
I had a very hard time holding the handle bar and using the clutch lever and trying not to slip back on the seat .

Only had a rz for a few weeks. The other day I see a 60yo guy running down his driveway to stop me.
Said he just wanted to see the rz up close, their was drool comming from his mouth. We talked
2 smoke a bit abd he showed me his bike collection. It was a restored 750gt sitting in the middle
Of them. He lives just down the road in a 90* 1st gear slick corner. He mentioned how he liked
to see and hear me skate through the corner. Im sure we'll do some riding together this spring.
