And an elbow.

And almost a shoulder.

This next level could get expensive.

I'd rather ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow.

Why does this guy have to ride with my old number. When I come back there will be comments about my 93, if I can get it. An old fart who thinks he's Marquez.

I read the other day that when Marquez was running Bridgestone's(last year) they had data that he had the
bike at 68 degs off vertical !! and that's not falling off.
It's absolutely amazing !!!!

Pretty crazy , Ben Spies made it look easy here in The US a decade ago, hence his nickname was "Elbows" but the World Champion Marc has taken it to a entirely new level of extreme lean! Just as Rossi popularized the Leg sticking out form, many adaptaded that trait and now most have had to incorporate Marquez's huge lean style into their style. Cant help notice the rider behind him doing the same. "If you cant beat em, join em" comes to mind.

Its pretty remarkable, that these tire profile designs and chassis allow one to do this at speeds far exceeding 100 mph.

I tried to drag my elbow once. The resulting crash had me wobbling about with stars flying around my head. :smt021

I'm 6'4" as well, and I couldn't get my knees on the ground racing my TZ250. Exhaust pipes, foot pegs, but no knees. They were too high.

Its all down to body shape and profile.
I've followed a lanky bloke dragging his knee around every corner on a ZX10R, when I couldn't scrape the pegs on an old Guzzi.
My short fat legs and forward controls didn't help.

However, my RVF400 on slicks was cool, knee down easy. Had to be careful with inside ripple strips, my fat knee would get sandwiched between them and the fairing.

Sigh! The older I get, the faster I was.

I used to drag the brake pedal on my SV650. ;) That was a fun bike to race. Never tried to kill me.
