Number 20

#1 Post by Smoker » Wed Dec 21, 2016 4:30 pm

Temperarily lost my mind and was in mad hoolie mode on the WR250X.

Two cops stopped me and were yelling for me to get down. I thought they were going to prone me out, but I just put my hands up and started talking.

They said I was over double the speed limit. Plus, I blew past a public park, etc., etc., etc.

I knew I fucked up and told them so. Also told them a whole lot of other shit. Between 5 and 10 minutes later, I was on my way home. No ticket or written warning.

This is the 20th time in a row. I haven't had a ticket in at least 12 years.

Now, I love cops. Even if I get hammered next time, it's okay. I totally deserve it.

Did you wish them a Merry Christmas? I think if you are level headed and speak nicely to them you are usually good. I remember being cut off once while driving my car. I got pissed and smoked the tires for a block. The cop pulled me over, I told him I was crazy stressed. He told me to pull over next time and count and let me on my way scott free! :smt023 What does scott have to do with anything?

Id start wearing a gopro...
Might be less likely to screw with you if they know they are being recorded..
Unless you totally deserved it..

I should have, but didn't think of it.

I certainly thanked them and gave them a friendly wave as the drove off.

Then I threw down a crazy celebration dance!!

I've had a GoPro for years and made a special mount on the bike.

My concern is that it could be confiscated as evidence. And there could be a lot of stuff the cops didn't even see.

Also, I'm pretty sure cops don't want video of them letting me go scott free. They would probably go by the book if they're being video taped.

I never use the GoPro, but it would have been great to have it when I crashed. I got a head injury and have no idea what caused it.

EDIT: I TOTALLY DESERVED IT. They did me a solid favor and I truly appreciate it.

Definitely would have been appropriate, but I want my lucky streak to continue. :smt003
